Ntataise’s new Toy Library Hub
Ntataise’s Training and Resource Centre in Rammulotsi in the Free State, was alive with excited chatter and ululations last month with the delivery of two Edutainers from the Bright Kid Foundation, sponsored by The Zoë Carrs Foundation, for the establishment of the new Ntataise Toy Library Hub. The Edutainers are made from shipping containers which have been transformed into colourful, bright and engaging play environments, and will house a wide variety of age-appropriate books, toys, games and other learning resources for young children.
The objective of the Toy Library Hub is to increase access to play and learning opportunities for vulnerable young children who are not in a community pre-school or home based ECD programme. In addition, the Toy Library programme will provide training and resources to not only children, but also their families, ECD facilitators and practitioners and other organisations that work with young children in the surrounding community.
