Spark & Grow Symposium: Advancing Play-Based Learning

Ntataise Attends the Spark & Grow Symposium: Advancing Play-Based Learning in Early Childhood Education

Ntataise Network Coordinator, Sophie Masilela, recently attended the Spark & Grow: Advancing Play-Based Learning in the Early Years Symposium in Lusaka, Zambia. This symposium presented an exciting opportunity for Ntataise to be part of a transformative conversation on scaling play-based learning across the Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector.

This event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Education Zambia, VVOB, and the Africa Early Childhood Network and supported by the LEGO Foundation, gathers top policymakers, educators, and ECD leaders from across Africa.

The aim is to collaborate on innovative ways to embed play-based learning into early childhood education systems, which has been proven to positively impact children’s development, creativity, and cognitive skills.

At Ntataise, we believe in the power of play to shape young minds. By attending this symposium, Sophie will bring valuable insights back to the Ntataise Network, furthering our mission to ensure that every child in South Africa has access to high-quality, play-based early learning experiences.

We look forward to the exciting developments that will emerge from this event and remain committed to driving impactful change in ECD in South Africa and across the continent.
